Who We Are

SS. Cyril and Methodius School, located in Hartford, Connecticut, is proud to have provided over 100 years of Catholic education to the children of the Greater Hartford area.

We are a Kindergarten through grade 8 school with a pre-K program and are accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

We at SS. Cyril and Methodius School commit ourselves to: Faith - Following Jesus Christ, His teachings and values; Focus - Integrating spiritual, moral, academic, physical, cultural and social qualities; Future - Preparing to meet the challenges of academic excellence within a community of faith.

Mission Statement

We, the community of SS. Cyril and Methodius School, are committed to Jesus Christ, whereby, we become His living witnesses not only to his teaching and values, but to the teaching and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church. We acknowledge our own uniqueness, strengths and weaknesses.

Together in Christ we are given to mission and ministry. We respond to the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, psychological, social and aesthetic needs of the students. We recognize that each child is special and unique because he/she is God's creation. We recognize the fact that parents are the "primary teachers", therefore, we strive to work together with them through evangelization in order to build a "strong faith community".
