Q: What is the school curriculum?
A: As an Archdiocesean school, we follow the guidelines and standards for curriculum set by the Archdiocese of Hartford. The K-8 curriculum emphasizes the development of the Catholic faith, values and attitudes as well as the acquirement of knowledge and skills for spiritual, moral, intellectual, social and physical growth
Q: What are the hours of operation?
A: A full school day runs from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Q: Is there an after school program?
A: Yes, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Q: What is the average class size?
A: The average class size K-8 is approximately 15 students.
Q: What are the age requirements for Pre-K and Kindergarten enrollment?
A: Children for Pre-K enrollment must turn three years old by Sept 1. children must turn five years old by Dec. 31 for Kindergarten.
Q: Do students wear uniforms?
A: Students in grades 1-8 wear uniforms with a navy blue theme.
Q: Can parents or guardians volunteer at the school?
A: Certainly. We always encourage involvement in our school community and activities. Call Sister Dolores [phone number?] anytime during the school day and she’ll be glad to talk about school service.
Q: What type of meal service is offered at SS. Cyril and Methodius?
A: The school provides a hot lunch program. Lunches are cooked on the premises, and state guidelines are followed. Children can always elect to bring prepared cold lunches as well.
