Q: What is the school curriculum?
A: As an Archdiocesean school, we follow the guidelines and standards for curriculum set by the Archdiocese of Hartford. The K-8 curriculum emphasizes the development of the Catholic faith, values and attitudes as well as the acquirement of knowledge and skills for spiritual, moral, intellectual, social and physical growth. Standardized testing following state guidelines is utilized.


Q: What are the hours of operation?
A: A full school day runs from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.


Q: Is there an after school program?
A: Yes, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.


Q: What is the average class size?
A: The average class size K-8 is approximately 20 students.


Q: What are the age requirements for Pre-K and Kindergarten enrollment?
A: Children for Pre-K enrollment must turn 3 years old by Sept 1 and 5 years old for Kindergarten.


Q: Do students wear uniforms?
A: Students in grades 1-8 wear uniforms with a navy blue theme.


Q: Can parents or guardians volunteer at the school?
A: Certainly. We always encourage involvement in our school community and activities. Call Sister Dolores anytime during the school day and she’ll be glad to talk about school service.


Q: What type of meal service is offered at SS. Cyril and Methodius?
A: We have a nutritious daily hot lunch program. Children can always elect to bring prepared cold lunches as well.


Q: What is the cost of tuition and are there any financial aid programs available if needed?

A: Current rates are as follows (2007-2008)
Parishioners of SS. Cyril and Methodius Church - $1495 ($100 less each add. child)
Catholic non-parishioner - $2400 ($100 less each add. child)
Non-Catholic - $2900 ($100 less each add. child)
